After the torrential rain last night I wandered out with the dogs this morning to see how things were - MR is up another foot but the water is still way below the height of the bank, albeit running very fast (perhaps those bins do need to stay up by lock 19 for the time being!)
This is where the River Tove joins the Grand Union Canal
and then flows under the canal and continues on it's way out the other side - I could always get the kayak down and do a bit of white water rafting; providing there is someone available to catch me as I shoot under Cosgrove bridge!
The heavens opened again, so we turned and scurried back to the boat for a cup of tea and some lunch - except the gas has just run out! It should have lasted at least another 10 days so we must have been having too many roast dinners, although I'm not sure it's possible to have 'too many roasts'. Why do gas bottles always run out when it's chucking it down with rain?
