Muttley is about to give you a small demo of how they work and remind us as to the origination of the expression ' hang dog' (sorry, I took the pics into sun)
They lay the sling flat on the ground and I line up my feet in the holes - the holes for my back feet are quite long because they say they might want to put an Airedale or something bigger in...huh!
Then they pull it up and put the two front handles together
then they put a carabina through the handles
and then ..... oh bloody hell; I'm not very impressed with this. I can't move
he says the extra long bit and the extra handle is for a bigger dog .... well go and find a bigger dog then and let me go
Oh no, don't let Baxter see me looking like a prat - how am I ever gonna be top dog after this?
Do you fink the roast chicken boat lady, or the Sunday lunch boat lady or ... well anyone really.... wants a foster dog. I hate my life.
Thank you so much Wendie and Sue they are perfik. We can't think of any modifications required - I will try and flag down a large 'volunteer' tomorrow to check out the large dog fit.
Oh I just love the look horror on Baxter's face in the last photo...
ReplyDeleteWhat he is thinking just is not for publication, too many *****'s required... LOL
I know; it's priceless - neither of us had the heart to put it on Baxter seeing that look
DeleteFantastic! I'm sure they'll do the job, but poor old Muttley!!!!
ReplyDeleteAlistair
IBless him - he's so long suffering. I guess when we use them for real we'll be too busy lowering him up and down on a rope to see how miserable/resigned/peed off he looks.
DeleteWell they look pretty good!
ReplyDeleteGraham looks happy, not sure about Mutley though!
Well done Wends!
xx
Poor Muttley - he did look terribly dejected.
DeleteWendie has done a great job - thank you both xx
Love them, one has to look after ones doggies.
ReplyDeletePaul
One most definitely does - any suggestions for getting Daisy up a high wall as there is a limit to how high she can jump too!?
DeleteI now this will sound silly (well it is me talking) have you thought about using a rucksack to carry Daisy up and down?
DeleteIt could actually work Kevin, but I'm not sure I'd want to be the one to try and stuff her in it! We do have her collapsible cat cage (isn't everyone's cat collapsible?) that we could raise and lower on a rope
DeleteJill
ReplyDeleteI hear Radley are interested...
Lesley
It's a bit hush hush at the moment - in final negotiations for exchanging iconic Scottie for Tibetan Terrier.
DeletePS What were you doing up at that time of night?
xx
I don't know...you've got me worried now.
DeleteWhat was I doing UP at that time of night?
Altziemers??
X Lesley
You put that comment up at 11.09 pm - shouldn't you have been asleep?
DeleteDon't worry; I'm told if you can spell alzimerrs you haven't got it!
x
Ouch!
DeleteWell that's decided it - Ty and Ollie definitely want us to get a bigger boat if they're ever to cruise Europe. Actually, Ty says he'd rather just spend the money on a long-term dog-sitter so that he can stay at home - Baxter can join him :-D
ReplyDeleteSue, nb Indigo Dream
Not so much bigger, more sort of taller. We shouldn't need it very often and Baxter says not to worry as it will fit Ty too ... well ..maybe
DeleteOh so pleased they fit!
ReplyDelete(Sorry to Baxter and Muttley.....blame your Mum and Dad not me.....I just did as I was asked!!)
They fit brilliantly thank you so much. Muttley didn't look very happy did he
