'Nene is Navigable,' said I !!

Well it is sort of. Apart from;
  • Only locking you through Standground Lock first thing in the morning because there's too much water later in the day.
  • The water in Peterborough is over the step still which means everywhere will be covered in mud and slime.
  •  Elton Lock Gates aren't likely to be there until at least Saturday.
  •  The air draft under Oundle and Isis Bridges is about half what we need to get under.
 ...... that'll be plan 'E' then

Breaking news: The Yarwoods made a run for it about 2.30pm; last sightings around 5.30 at Whittlesey

  1. I reckon you'll open the biggest bottle of bubbly when you get back to the canals :-)

    Hope you escape soon.
