Walking in a winter wonderland

For those of you struggling to get to work, do the school run, etc., etc. I do apologise for my annoyingly up beat blogs at the moment. However, after feeling rotten for so long and now feeling well again in this beautiful snow covered countryside, teeming with wildlife, it is difficult not to be up beat.

Lesley and I set off into Thetford Forest today, stopping for tea/hot chocolate in the High Lodge cafe before returning via Brandon Country Park - a lovely 3 hour circular walk. We returned just as the sun was replaced by freezing fog - good timing.

Whilst we were out G busied himself watching the pair of Kingfishers that fish opposite the boat

and making Chelsea buns - the buns and a cup of tea went down very well after a 3 hour walk in below freezing temperatures. I'll try and be a bit more miserable tomorrow but there's lots more snow coming by Friday - yipee!
