Look who we found!

I returned from Mum's this afternoon and re-joined MR at Stoke Bruerne - G moved there from Yardley Gobion this morning. Once he'd finished with the Grand Prix highlights we left the boat for a pint or two at The Boat. Walking up the flight we encountered NB Tacet locking down (still moving at a dizzy speed). Coming out of the pub we encountered NB Caxton starting to lock down. We borrowed a windlass and saw them through the first two before they moored for the night - I have to say that their entrance into the lock was excellent; even with an audience.
We've spent the last hour hopelessly trying to explain to the boys that Floyd and Fletcher are no longer on board NB Caxton. Muttley, in particular, is beside himself thinking his besty mate must be around somewhere.

    1. It was good to see her again and she should be at Yardley Gobion waiting for you by now - they passed us this morning at 11.00am (working around restricted lock openings now) with about two hours to run. Your baby is in the hands of a very competent crew.

  2. Ahh, poor Muttley!! Still, once you join up again they'll get used the the boys being on Yarwood instead.
Looks like we may not be able to join you on the Fens this summer after all as the N'pton Arm will be closed by the time we have moved house and are ready to leave! We seem fated never to cruise with you both and Lesley and Joe, and we were so looking forward to it!! xxx

    1. Pip, you should be ok as they are opening for the IWA thing from the 3rd to the 8th May and, as we understand it, during periodic weekends. So, when you have a clearer idea of dates, talk to them and you should be able to get through xx
