For a long time I travelled to Mum's via public transport and I happily used her "Madgemobile" (Benidorm viewers will be with me here) to pick up bread and milk and pump some exercise into the dogs. You can pump some serious exercise into the boys at 6mph and then half an hour down the beach and 6mph back again without spending too long away. But, sadly, she was no longer justified on the Matilda Rose team, so the transfer fees were paid and she went to play for the Yarwood team via Lesley's brother who lives in the county.
Transfer was successful and Lesley's Mum is up and off - it makes things a bit better
But I can't end this post without mentioning the Upton Gang - our sailing mates and the caravan gang who were just so kind and wonderful - after 3 minutes of polite stuff they started taking the piss, making sexual innuendos and flirting - we ate too much, drank too much and laughed our little socks off and I got a cuddle with the new, gorgeous, baby Megan (more hair than most of the rest of them put together - ladies apart of course).
Thank you for driving Graham - I needed that evening
So good to hear from you - sounds as if you're doing really well under very difficult circumstances.
ReplyDeleteYou're often in my thoughts...

DeleteLou is doing really well - starting radiotherapy next week - fingers crossed that she gets on allright with it....
ReplyDeleteOne way and another you must feel as exhausted as I do - everything crossed for you. My Uncle died two days after Mum, so we're off to another funeral tomorrow!!
DeleteAngela thank you. Your comment seems to have become caught up in some crazy spam and disappeared!
