Debdale - the lock not the narrowboat

More pics from the stunning Staffs & Worcs; reminds me a great deal of the Llangollen branch of the Shroppie.

I assume this is where Adam & Adrian's  boat inherited it's name. Is there a story here guys?

  1. Oh no - its the Debdale on the GU Leicester Arm!

  2. No, not named after this Debdale lock. All the OwnerShips boats built in 2006 were named after places on the Leicester Line of the GU, so Debdale is named after Debdale Wharf. Sister boats include Yelvertoft, Wigston, and Aylestone.

  3. Thanks for putting me right guys, although it's a shame really as it's such a pretty place

  4. It is nice round there. Have they finished the cottage at Debdale Lock? They seem to have been working on it for years.
