Baxter and I have bought a new Boat

When the cruiser Breezey gave me a go on their Kayak, Baxter and I really had a good time and have been surfing (pun intended) to see what we could find
Today we bought one of these - it'll just fit nicely between our top boxes - can't wait for it to arrive next Tuesday. Very impatient as the weather forecast is really good from Friday.
I suppose I should have waited until next spring - but who knows, sometimes September and October can be fantastic

  1. Is that a Hobie Kayak Jill? Very smart, you will certainly have some fun in that! x

    1. It's a Hi Marine. I really didn't want to fork out for a new one but all second hands were 'buyer collects'. I'm hoping both dogs will fit on, but Muttley wasn't at all sure anyway - Baxter loved it. I guess this summer is over really, but what the heck! xx

  2. I wondered how long it would be before you got one of your own - that kayak was so YOU!

Have fun - you deserve it!

    1. Oh Sue, I couldn't resist - it was just so tranquil and the water is so clear. I'm not sure about the canals, but sometimes you just have to give it a whirl. Let's hope the weather holds long enough to get some use this year.

    1. Lovely thought Chas but just how are we going to transport it on the train? Hope you had a good Upton and Richard's pancakes were up to scratch - he has a tough act to follow. Our Cadac died this year xxx Jill

    1. I'd love to go back to the Montgomery, but if you are iced in there's no shop and if you aren't you're only allowed 2 weeks -
the walking (and kayaking!!) potential is phenomenal. We shall see

  7. Trouble with wearing a dog is if it's Floyd you tend to get either drowned or smothered! Baxter is much more amenable at sharing!
