Jill originates from Bedfordshire. She started her professional career in local government, moving into the private sector she became a project manager with large companies like Thorn EMI and British Telecom. She met Graham at the tender age of 34 and less than a year later was married; neither had any intentions of marrying but some how it just happened and are hanging on in there 21 years later!
Graham started out life in Winchester, born into an Airforce family who originate from west London. He took a couple of years after leaving school deciding what he wanted to do, moving from job to job (gaining life experience, if nothing else) before following in his father's footsteps. He spent 17 years flying on Puma helicopters as a crewman and, until he was medically retired, as loadmaster on Tristars flying out of Brize Norton.
Latterly, Jill started her own business in craft retail, which Graham joined after it was established. They ran the business together until it was sold in 2008, taking early retirement and moving on to narrowboat Matilda Rose.
